Pick your shade

How dark is 20%, really?

The number on a film is its VLT: how much visible light it lets in. 70% barely shows; 5% is limo. Slide through the shades and look out from the driver's seat, then from the sidewalk.

Arizona (ARS 28-959.01): front side windows must let in more than 33% of light and be no more than 35% reflective; no red or amber film. Rudy will tell you what fits your car.

Feel the heat

Darkness isn't what keeps you cool

Two films can look the same and feel different under the Phoenix sun. Slide a sample under the heat lamp and hold your hand under the glass.

    Good to know

    Do I need an appointment?

Yes. Google lists the shop as appointment required, so call or text (480) 695-7411 to book a time, Tuesday to Sunday, 9 to 5.

How dark can I go in Arizona?

On a car, the front side windows must let in more than 33% of light and can't be more than 35% reflective. The back side windows and back glass can be any darkness when the car has mirrors on both sides, and the windshield can only be tinted above the AS-1 line. Red and amber film aren't allowed. Rudy will tell you what fits your car.

Do you tint houses and businesses too?

Yes: automotive, residential and commercial window tint. For a house or shop, call with how many windows and which way they face.

    Do you guarantee the work?

Customers say Rudy guarantees his tint. Ask about the guarantee on your film when you book.

    Can I pay by card?

Yes. Google lists credit cards, debit cards and tap-to-pay.
